fast food workers work their asses off. employees should get one free meal a day as long as it's still rung up and comped. it's when you don't feed them that's when they steal.

When in high school I worked at a popular fast food palace. We were only allowed a small discount. BUT our shift manager would take home bags of food to her family - for free! No point in this lol just remember 🤣
So, people were stealing from the place they work and now the lady manager wants $100. For each plate they eat? That’s not a fast food joint. Fast food restaurants and pizza places usually never allow the workers to take food, even if it’s leftover. That is standard practice. The manager said they pay for the food, so this sounds like an owner of a restaurant. People will steal whatever they can get away with. They’ve been stealing food for a long time, probably, and it’s hitting the bottom line now.
if fast food workers are given free food(after/during/before, 1 or more of these times) it will lessen the amount of food being thrown away, or put in the fridge/cooler/freezer/left out to be used again, thus avoiding lawsuits over contaminated, old, stale, FOOD🤔
I am sure there is more than enough food thrown out that can be eaten by workers.
I feed my crew, and don't take out for breaks. Probably one of many reasons I own a busy restaurant and don't have a lot of money. I do have some very good, hardworking, loyal employees though.

It's actually ILLEGAL to garnish wages, for any reason, WITHOUT a court order. What they can do is terminate employment for theft. But they also need to have a written policy in an employee handbook. That sign is not legally sufficient to protect the employer. The employees can get together & file a class action lawsuit for wage theft as well as notify the DOL & EEOC. Then the employer will have to play their rules. IJS.

I used to wash dishes at a mexican restaurant and they Fed us hot food every night. Anything we wanted and it was authentic Mexican food.

I worked in the food business a very long time. I never understood why people feel getting a free meal is a right. I have now work a corporate job in the medical field for over 25 years and I pay for my meals and snacks in the cafeteria every day I don’t bring my meal from home. It started as a kind perk. Not a right.
I worked at Dennys we still had to pay for our meal but we did get an employees discount and they would take it out of your check so if you were hungry and broke you could still eat. a lot of the t I me the cook would set aside thw mess up for me to eat free I was 6 months pregnant at that time too. so he was like you got to eat. lol💕
I worked at a small Latin American market and bro I ate for free every day they had a hot food deli with all these delicious dishes and you could even get meat from the carnicero and they would cooks that fresh too or anything you wanted all for free ☺️ 😅

When you work at a non-food business you either bring your lunch or go out and buy it you don't get free food if you work in a restaraunt of any kind you should get a discount on the food and the non-alcoholic drink should be free.

Giving a free meal to an employee is at the owner’s discretion…they may feel that they want to help their employees out or use it as a way to make the job more attractive…but think a little more about it, do gas stations give free gas to their employees, casinos comp chips to their dealers or cocktail servers, supermarkets comp groceries, etc…

In the 70's every fast or nice restaurant let us eat free. McD, BK, Italian dine in and even Steak and Ale (no prime rib tho). Businesses today don't give a shit about their employees, just the money. Which is why no one wants to put forth any effort.
I didn’t care about that rule and never got into trouble when I sat down to eat because in like life I worked and busted my butt every time I worked. Other co workers didn’t like that I got special treatment but I actually didn’t. I worked.. so work..
