draining the pool didn't cause this . there was some serious foundation issues going on long before the pool was drained

I'd put a paycheck on the landlord winning this case.

it happens. the ground around the pool, has to be dewatering before you drain pool.

that's not true that's not installed incorrectly there are a lot of pools if you don't have water in them over time the pressure from underneath will pop them out like a cork

not true if the water tables are high and you drain a pool in florida this will happen every time.

Yes this is true. Water gathers on the outside of the pool. When the pool is filled the pressure is equal but when it’s drained the pressure on the sides and bottom pushes it up and cracks it

Renters shouldn’t have drained the pool without checking with the owner.

That’s wrong because of the water table in the area you never drain your pool completely for very long even if you’re doing a water change you try to leave 2530% of the water in the pool unless your servicing the pool or something and then you have drains in place because of the pool will float out of the groundshould’ve never and if they did, they hadn’t trained for too long

When you drain a pool and you do not open the main drain to allow groundwater to enter the pool the pool will float on top of the water that's underneath of it especially in Florida
