Many fruits in the U.S.A. have a layer of wax on them to extend there shelf life. Did you know ALL apples contain cyanide, it's most concentrated in the seed. This is from pesticides sprayed on them in orchards.

I don't believe it would be easy to just was wax off of any fruit or veg. Look at the previous picture of the person scraping the wax off of the apple. You would really need to scrub with something abrasive to remove that from an apple. And how do you scrape a bell pepper covered with wax ? When you peel the skin off of an apple, much of the taste is lost. This leaves the apple tasting much like any other apple. Farm grown and sold gives you a chance to enjoy fresh unprocessed products. Just keep in mind .. pesticides can be on the food from the field ! Makes you want to grow your own, doesn't it ?

this isnt true apples produce natural wax to protect their skin from bugs and dirt and it is simple to take the wak off just run it under hot water for 10 seconds and wipe with towel or paper towel
I wash all my food , meat vegs. and fruit. once you cut it the knife will take what is on the outside and put it on the inside of your food. Plus if you think about it, how many people have touched that item before it made it to your home. 🤔 just wash it people.
The way to stop that is buy from a local orchard!

I try to eat an apple a day... I use one drop of dish soap on my apple. Scrub with both hands. Rinse well. Dry with a paper towel. I then slice into sections and cut those sections in half. I enjoy my snack with a little sea salt peeling and all eating with a tiny fruit fork...

Just wash well for goodness sake. You may buy the fruit and veggie wash, expensive , or just salt or soda and vinegar and make sure to rinse well. Better yet if you are all freaked out, wash and peel.
