my crazy neighbor kept calling the cops on our dog on the front porch because we "never fed it," and it "didnt even have a blanket!" it was ceramic.
just goes to show that the police have no idea about certain breeds. that dog was fine on that porch. That husky will let you know when HE wants to come in.
I've got 2 Sheppard Husky mix and insist on being outside had trouble with a neighbor once as well gave her an earful and she never bothered me again

Lived in Alaska, would call my husky, a pile os snow would stand up, come in, eat, say HI, then go to the door to get back out. Educate the cops and neighbor. Your neighbor is making a false reporf fo police.
get a written statement from your vet & register it with the local police. if they get another call for your address, the vets information will pull up. problem solved 😁
We had an Alaskan husky, and I built him a doghouse and put straw in there for the winter, but out there in the freezing cold and in the middle of the snowstorm, he’d be outside curled up. He would not stay in that dog house. That’s just the way huskies are are!

Have dealt with this. I have a Great Pyrenees and he loves cold weather. Get a letter from your vet explaining why your dog wants to be outside when it’s cold
Tell the police and the neighbor that he likes to be outside and that it doesn't seem to harm him. Say you consulted a veterinarian skilled with Siberian Huskys. They said.......I will open the door to see if he wants to come in every 30 minutes.
I agree with all of the comments suggesting you get informational paperwork from your vet and SPCA on your breed of dog and what temperatures they are safe with. Then legal action for harassment of it continues.

I loved in MN and had a Husky that was outdoors 24/7 and loved it. They are too warm with all the fur to live inside when they have their wi ter fur on.
go and get info from your public library on huskies! print it out. take one to the police station and report her for her abuse of the police and reporting. then mail her a copy from the library about Huskies. or get your Vet to sign the information! i had a husky, good luck to you getting him to stay inside on a winter day. mine would never come in and loved to dig in the snow and make like a underground cave he could stay in. get a lawyer,that way if they do take you to jail ,you could probly sue them for false arrest. there a snow dog. there built for that crap.

Do not understand dogs. He can come in but does not want to. Our horses would stand with their butts to the blizzard. The barn was open but they had heavy coats and absolutely enjoyed it. Came in for the night though. They had the choice though.
