i feel for this video, shit!! i bought something the other day for like 13.75 so i gave this guy 20 dollar bill and 75 cents. and he kept on asking whats the 75 cents for when hes giving me 6.25 as change. i said so you can give me 7 dollars or a 5 and 2 dollar bill and he said why am i complicating it. 😭😭😭😭
It’s cause they push a button that they were given a 20 and the machine tell them how much change to give them they don’t even have to think…

Everyone is coming down in this young woman. she looks like she is in high school/late teens. she understands basic math (addition/subraction). most are still learning "real-life application." I've worked primarily with this age group. Normally, you give them grace, poke fun at them for "glitching" on basic math, and walk them through it. they ALL knew the math, but if you deviated from their normal "script," they are like deer in the headlights and freeze/stare. It was finally given a name a few years back, "Gen Z stare" 😆😆

It’s not that hard. In fact it’s really simple and easy. Never once have a had an issue when someone gives me change after I typed it out, as I am good at literal 3rd grade math.

Had a young girl at a fast food resturant ring my order up for around 13 or 14 dollars, gave her a 20 and she gives me back 34 dollars, it took me quite a bit of explaining to her that she only needed to give me about 6 dollars in change back. She still didn't understand what she did wrong.
This happens often. It’s a shame they used calculators all their lives in school And weren’t taught how to count back the correct change!

my fast food order was let's say $16.96. I gave the lady a fifty dollar bill. I took the change and food and went to the car. traveling on the rode I counted my change. $66.96. Did I turn around to tell the cashier? no. I blame whoever hired her. kids and young adults can't make change. One cashier had to call her manager to help her
