I hope those are water shoes!? for like surfing, waterboards... and not your tennis-shoes... I have a pair of water shoes, they come in handy when you're boating, fishing... any water sports

why!? if you don't know how to swim!? you start out in the shallow part... get familiar with the water... but... if that lifeguard wasn't there? it could have been pretty bad
