it is NOT showing an id that is a problem. it is the type of id required which makes it difficult or almost impossible to vote. how many people have passports or birth certificates on hand?

If it was as simple as “just showing an ID” that would be different. This bill is literally requiring people to bring additional documents or PAY for copies. People better read the entire bill because if you don’t they can literally TURN YOU AWAY ON ELECTION DAY.

The bill is more than an ID to vote
But don't mention that when they vote on legislation, that they are also required to present 2-forms of current, valid ID; their Congressional ID card (that notifies all that they are "special" and "elite" people), and their state-issued ID from the state they represent. IF they don't have those two forms of ID, they CANNOT vote.🤔
That's not what it is or does.
People already have to show ID to register to vote and then again when you vote. They're trying to force everyone to re-register hoping to suppress the vote.
