I don't mind paying property taxes, what I resent id paying SCHOOL taxes (and before anyone goes blows up, I DO NOT/CAN NOT, have kids... I don't believe I should pay those taxes, I'll pay "furbaby" taxes...
Republicans don't care about consequences as long as they can say " tax cut " and they are too lazy to craft meaningful tax reforms that would ease tax burden without burning the whole damn place down.

And how are small cities going to exist without, police, fire rescue, school maintenance, road maintenance, sewer maintenance, hurricane cleanup, and hundreds of other necessities you don’t realize are essential until they’re gone?

It would be great to Eliminate Property Taxes because I'm retired and I don't get hardly anything from it every month & I'm barely making it through the whole month. Then, I have to deal with Property Taxes like everyone else and to me it seems like Uncle Sam is increasing this Property Taxes and everything else. What gives.?

I have never seen so much hate and misinformation in my life, stop with the political nonsense. If a person pays off their home, why should they continue to pay taxes or lose it. Everyone should pay taxes and not being penalized for trying to better themselves. It shouldn't matter if a person is a dollarnaire or a millionaire. We are so accustomed to being taxed that we point fingers at each other.

Ok, here is the actual reason this was done. Follow the story and see if I am wrong. Daniel Perez is a plant, a paid for operative. This whole operation is about trying to embarrass the conservatives like the governor, who would veto the measure at this point. They cannot unilaterally, as a state, remove local government property tax funding and replace it with sales tax increases, because it would make our sales tax the highest in the nation, around 11 to 12 percent. And that would have people buying from out of state to avoid the tax, lowering the income, as that is what people do. So, unless this measure is adopted nationally and the playing field is leveled, that is untenable and although property tax is unconstitutional, we are stuck with it until it can be implemented by federal legislation, not state. To further expand on my theory of this being a political trap, look how quickly the Tallahassee Democrat and Soros funded Florida phoenix, and more outlets have been promoting it

Homestead Taxes are referred to as Property Taxes 👍
We get rid of waste and fraud we wouldn’t need property tax on homesteaded homes under 2M
School taxes what does that cover ppl voted for things last year in it’s still never happened so why even bother talking about it! We were supposed to have this already instead we are paying for roads that we paid on yrs ago in a school that’s we paid on yrs ago being build ! I wouldn’t be surprised if if they don’t start doing federal on use soon
That would be Fabulous maybe I can concentrate on fixing the things around my house that needs fixing I have worked very hard keeping my place nice but then every year comes taxes on my home it's so hard to keep it all up I'm almost 68 years old! I have paid for my home 4 X's already! I will be So happy! Change is gonna come!

Big mistake if they do this reduce the taxes but don't eliminate or set one homestead tax across the board for every home period. But eliminate tax is wrong that alot if money gone and it means a tax elsewhere will go up

There is a hidden message in political definitions that is not hard to see... Republicans own businesses and banks and suppliers of every nature of needs that a man survives on, and that means all devices to sell to the democrats ( who basically have nothing of real value), so instead of the fancy inflated titles for political description just look at it this way....REPUBLICAN means MASTERS, and DEMOCRAT means SLAVES, that seems to describe the scheme of things quite accurately, wouldn't you say...smh
