First of all this is not caused by politics. Infrastructure issues have been a problem for decades. All major cities fight a never ending battle to upgrade their systems. Trump and company might want to gain political points by blaming this on democratic leadership, but this is done while ignoring similar issues in Republican led areas. He could make more points by finding a way to help upgrade these old systems, wherever they may be. Instead he just wants to point a finger of blame with no show of what he could do better.
