If the Democrats would vote to keep the government open with a clean CR, then none of the snap or other people missing paychecks would even happen. You need 60 votes in the Senate to pass the bill. I thought Republicans love limited government, you sure as hell blaming Democrats for achieving something I thought y'all want. Why are limit government/ state rights individual running for federal offices. Run in for state lawmaker positions. At least most Democrats admit they like big government. Republicans just don't like big government when they aren't in power, talk about fiscally responsibility. Bring every troop home, why are we force to subsidized the defense budget every year. We spend more on military equipment than we actually spend on the vets dealing with PTSD. Selective Service end at 25. Guess what else happens at that age your brain is fully developed. So we knowing send many of our young men into wars with undeveloped brain. I think if Congress wants a war either they can stand on on front or all of young family members.

I am not a democrat or republican but as a property mgr I am sharing the truth of my own experiences: A family of 4 applies for one of our rental homes- Both parents (early 30’s) and their 2 children (under 10) receive $983/mo each in SSDI because they all have ADHD %2B $627/mo in SNAP Food Stamps, plus receive 100% Medicaid, plus had a $2,000 credit from local Agency for heating fuel. She said, “Why should we work when we get so much govt help & laughed!” She proudly shared, “Its a no brainer because Mgt is guaranteed their rent money on the 3rd monthly and asked if Mgt would accept their Housing Voucher?” I was horrified! She also exclaimed, “they sell their food stamps for cash” - Husband works under table. I reported them to Social Services Supervisor and what I was told was even more shocking: “45-50% of ppl receiving Govt Assistance do it through fraudulent means. Staff is so short & overwhelmed and they just look other way.” An EXTREMELY BROKEN SYSTEM 💔
SNAP was expanded to HELP people get through Covid, well the pandemic is OVER, and so should the SNAP end as well!!!
