I don’t understand y yalls response is always go get a job. I work two jobs, single mom to two boys and in school for nursing. and still can’t afford cost of living. Let alone the cost of living being almost three times of the minimum wage. Hell even making $20 an hr u can barely make it being on ur own, single families r really struggling right now. It isn’t always the case of people being lazy. Open yalls eyes to the statistics of basic surviving in the US and the jobs without requiring a degree that majority don’t have and the pay rate average. It doesn’t add up. Even if u have two of the jobs. Yall need some common human decency. This isn’t a damn game. This is people and children’s livelihood and how they r able to fucking eat. Can’t work if u don’t eat. Can’t breathe if u don’t eat. Make it make sense. Not everyone gets a life with amazing card dealt to them. It is making it out of it and assistance is one of the very few things that actually help.
While they are waiting for their snap cards to be refilled,try updating your resume and look for work. Going to work and feeding one self isn't difficult.

People need to stop judging people who get assistant. I work a full time job, I pay my taxes, and still don’t make enough to cover groceries after I pay my bills and I have two kids. So just because someone receives snap doesn’t mean they don’t have a job. Jobs aren’t paying enough to keep up with inflation in this economy. So maybe stop and think before you type.
Sorry I am disabled I would rather work!!! I certainly wish I could work!! I loved my job and hate asking anyone for help !!

A lot of people receiving stamps are seniors their social security benefits are way less then you would expect being most of them have worked since they were about 14 years old and been charge ssi & social security taxes for over 40 years of their lives !! They need stamps to eat due to some are paying full rent and Medicare and that doesn’t even cover dental which only covers cleanings and pulling teeth no dentures

Lot of good banks give out too much expired food and it’s not that some of us don’t appreciate it. It’s just some people c can’t eat canned stuff etc because of their health etc. it’s harder to live here than it was in New York city well I think for me it is. But I won’t complain I’ll do crazy budgets and not buy what I don’t need
