Before Trump became President the US was relying on the obsolete weapons tech left from WW2 while all the nations have made major advancements. As of 2015 even Trump brought up the fact of how the US has no defenses against modern ballistic missles because our missle silos can only defend against missles traveling a low straight path and even NKorea's missles are capable of flying into space and traveling zigzag paths. This is why Trump had mentioned at the debate how we cannot even defend ourselves against NKorea. Now that Trump has had 2 terms I sure hope he has upgraded our defensive and offensive weapons!

Russia hasn't tested any nuclear weapons. They tested a new delivery method that is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. No nuclear warhead was detonated.
