NOT EVERYONE ON SNAPS IS LAZY OR OUT OF WORK IT IS JUST NOT ENOUGH. I work two part-time jobs because some companies do not want to give full time to not have to PAY benefits and the people that work in retail and other companies that do this knows what I am talking about.

yay! I wont starve! and before anyone brings their political beliefs into my coment. im 21 working full time and making barely enough to pay bills. I dont even have a car so I walk to and from my job every day no matter the weather. im also barely over 100lbs im 5'3" so almost underweight. I also dont have medical insurance and thus literally can't afford a doctor. so hearing that ill be able to get my the funds that keep me fed is a blessing.
I used to own a Food Pantry and their were alot of Elderly people that were getting only 20 dollars a month on Foodstamps. People that were getting over 900 dollars worth of Food Stamps would come to my Pantry first to get Food and I would actually see them in the Grocery Store with 2 carts worth of Junk Food. They would be so embarrassed when I seen them. I was a Nonprofit Organization and they never once try to give back. They were Young People who were very able to work. Even though the Elderly just got a couple of Stamps, they try to Support the Pantry and give. Even the Veterans and Motorcycle Clubs helped me feed everyone even though they need Food also. So what does that tell you?
I say fund these programs with an explicit statement that says that the funds will not be used in any form for illegal immigrants or face federal charges!
WHY does it have to be Republicans VS Democrats... NO ONE SHOULD BE HUNGRY IN AMERICA...no matter who is President...and what happened to...UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL...HMMMMM

They may have gotten a break now, but they should prepare for December also, and this should be a lesson for able-bodied people to try and get off the system and better their lives with a career or trade schooling, in the end you and your family will have an easier life and not have to worry so much about your next meal.

He’s the one to talk recipient of government handouts. His food is all paid for by the government, his transportation is all covered by the government, his housing is paid for by the government. He and wife and anchor baby benefit from the federal provision provided by tax payers he is the biggest receiver of government funded living. And what does he do with that time? Play golf and remodel the house he is living in. Sounds like a lazy recipients of government funded living to me. Remodeling your house while others pay for your expenses. Hmmm

so I've been on both sides of this situation, and just like a lot of coal miners who have been laid off, they've paid into this program with their taxes their whole lives, now they may need some themselves but " it's always the ones who haven't been through it that knows only , lazy sorry , non working people need some food stamps" , always that person that cries their taxes pay for it, the taxes of everyone who has every worked has paid into just as many programs as the next, but if you think so much of your money pays for snap, wait till the higher prices of the stores that depend on it hits your wallets, or you can't stop and pick up your groceries on the way home anymore because that store had to close and the next closest one is 30min to an hour drive away. there's no winners in this situation.

Just like the outrage they showed over USAID which they also have zero understanding who actually benefits from the benefits. The SNAP benefits directly benefit farmers who receive 100 billion a year in purchases of the food they grow. USAID purchased 2 billion a year that farmers grow. So now the MAGA-Nazi cult wants to reduce the amount of aid farmers receive the very people who voted for this mess. Then the poor farmer speech will follow about how we have to support them. The government shutdown has to do with the “beautiful government state budget that trump and the republicans sign to take away the medicaid subsidies on the affordable healthcare. The cost for Medicare because of no more subsidies will go up several hundred dollars. Trump and the republican house and senate erroneously blame the democrats for giving free Medicaid to undocumented people. This

It's funny how stupid and gullible Democrats are.. Congress approves funding and the Senate confirms it then the President signs into law. Congress has already approved it but every Democrat in the Senate voted against it because they was to add Healthcare for illegals and other funding that doesn't make sense for Americans. Quit watching CNN.
Snap needs to be over hauled anyway, same as all welfare programs. This does nothing to solve the budget issue.
