Before anyone decides to.metion again about immigrants receiving government benefits, take time to learn the policy. However, the individuals that were given asylum, the feds have different rules and they regulate the policy. Statistics show that the majority of people looking for asylum are from Africa, India, Nicaragua, Salvador, and not Mexico..

And Trump is saying the there are other companies contributing to finance all the construction of the added ballroom. I find that hard to believe. Why is it that this government shutdown is going on at the EXACT same time as the construction of the ridiculous add onto the white house. We should DEMAND proof of these financial contribruters & a contribution list of the amount of what each one has donated to the cause. We have a right to know. I’m 70 yrs old disabled and widowed… I lost my husband unexpectedly, he was only 59. I live on SS and received SNAP when he passed 2 yrs ago. Never in my life has this ever happened where the shutdown has hurt so many. What is wrong with our government? It is very sad God Bless us all 🙏🏼 why didn’t they pass the clean CR that was in place and figure it out later?
They should just give a small amount only to people whom work and people that are retired

it was decided they day it shut down today I got an email and a phone call from HHS I will not be getting any of my snap benefits not that it matters to me being disabled I only get $24. a month because the state of Texas does their calculations way different then the state of Colorado where I got over $100. a month plus the state of Texas won't let me file a fraud report on my own benefits 8 believe that someone is getting Medicaid under my name and social security since 2020 and still is I discovered this year I went from a white female to a Hispanic female so can anyone explain that for me.

The GOP House can’t even agree internally because the far-right bloc refuses to pass anything that isn’t loaded with ideological riders. That’s not fiscal discipline — that’s hostage-taking.
