No one can "re present" themselves. You already are yourself, therefore, you can only present yourself. Only another, acting on your behalf, can "re present" you. The Constitution does not guarantee the right to representation. It guarantees the right to the ASSISTANCE of council. The framers of the Constitution understood that you can best serve yourself and your own defense when you have the assistance to do so. The courts and bar associations understand that to best serve their own interests they must assign representatives who appear to serve the clients but, in all actuality serve the courts first. Otherwise, they would be biting the hand that feeds them.
