Go back to hunting the mountain lions problem solved. They need to be afraid of people.
People have to remember you’re entering their country. Need to carry sprays or something to defend yourself with when walking by yourself. Please don’t go after the mountain lion it wasn’t its fault, could’ve had a cub nearby, or was just hungry
2025 was the woman's last year alive
No need to kill the lion. It's his nature to do this.
No investigation and they conclude it was a lion, it could have been wolves or Bigfoot.
The only thing that I have a problem with is you moved into their area they only doing with their natural instinct is to do what are you gonna do take them all out until they go extinct again
Colorado has 4000 mountain lions, but currently worried about 60 wolves…go figure…
These encounters may be rare on an adventure into the back country of Colorado, but it is just one more reason to arm yourself for self defense against the elements. You just don’t know who or what you may encounter .

It is also why if you go out hiking you go with a group or at least another person. This wouldn't have been known if the witnesses didn't go hiking that day. Having a satellite phone or if the area is in an area where cell phones are usable having one on you. My family has a place in the mountains and we always go in pairs or as a group if we hike.
Hey, she was in its territory, what did she expect. We are part of the food chain, we don't even have decent claws or teeth to defend. I feel horrible for her but it happens.
raise the tag numbers! parks and wildlife has no clue how many cats are here. they don't count kits so they only know the adult numbers of about 4400 and those are conservative given the nature of the animal making it hard to spot count or even track. this is pure mismanagement that predates any of the liberal pet projects to reintroduce other animals our ecosystem cant support.
It's called Hunting
