My husband did that after our 16 yo son called a girl on the bus a dirty name. He made our sone apologize and then go shovel cow poop out of their barn with the classmates laughing at him. 40 years ago !!! We need more fathers like that. Especially how kids talk to their mothers these days and won’t do any chores. We still live in the area. Our son turned out great but people remember and we all laugh about the punishment.
