Where I’m from (Brooklyn NY) we walked the lady to the door and made sure she got in OK

That was a very wise rule. Some young men would rather be talking to police "I don't know if she made it inside. I drove off when she was walking to the door".

My husband after 25 years still won’t drive away or even walk away until he knows I’m safe

And if he drove up and honked the horn and waited for you to come out, you sat your ass on the couch until he either got out and rang the bell or left.

amen in all reality the boyfriend guy, man is supposed to walk you to the door. it's called manners showing you care about her, your friendship, her safety, and to satisfy her parents. some good home training, for real💯👏♥️♥️♥️✌️💋

I agree. Used to tell my daughter that her dates had to come to the door. If they tried pulling up and beeping the horn it wouldn’t end well for them. Made her mad but I rather have her mad at me and know she’s safe.

A real man walks her to her door

we were raised differently. I still open doors for women, older men. If someone drops something on the floor, I don't tell them and point at it. I pick it up and hand it to them. Being an elder man myself I thank anyone who does the same for me.

Unfortunately, in today's society people don't even respect themselves.

Nope! Wrong! If they don't walk the girl to the door, something isn't working in the boys head!! It's not that he isn't doing the right thing, it's he doesn't have her interest at heart! Somebody better find out and quick where he left his brain!!

It should be the rule for this generation. If you couldn’t get out and walk my daughter to the door that would be the last time he would be taking my child out on a date 🤬
