This just recycled White supremacy discrimination against anyone that isn't Caucasian. It's not new, but unfortunately because it didn't succeed the first time it's even going to be less successful the second time around. While almost all American citizens that are registered to vote have ID and all have a voter registration, asking for birth certificates and passports are going to discourage women that have been married of all races, and disproportionately poor White communities who are less likely to have passports. the first time around they were able to use these methods only on ethnic groups different than themselves, this time around they can't do it just to specific people they must do it to ALL citizens. So it will affect all citizens, Republican, Democrat, independent or other. the Republicans are not going to get the outcome that they are trying to gerryrig to get. IF you have to cheat to win, then you are not just a cheater, but also a loser.

I am not against voter ID. I gave that when I registered to vote. I am in favor of mail in ballots. Many mail in voters travel for pleasure, for jobs, nursing homes, and various frailties. All living registered voters have a right to vote regardless of their circumstances. All mail in ballots have to be notarized. How many Trump administration people up to and including the President have used mail in at some point in time?
Trump knows he’s totally lying about this being the only country in the world with mail in ballots. He also knows full well that undocumented people voting in Federal elections is so rare that it is virtually nonexistent!

it’s funny how Republicans always blame Democrats for things that they are trying to do or have done. Prior to the Trump, there was never any question about election integrity. They had the hanging chads in 2000, but that was different. And after the Supreme Court ruled that bush was the winner, Al Gore went quietly away, unlike Trump in 2020 it’s funny how when Trump wins he doesn’t question election integrity but when he loses, they must’ve cheated.

The last time I renewed my Driver’s License in Texas, I had to bring my original birth certificate, and my Marriage License I also showed my passport. This was to comply with the new “Real ID” laws. We have had to show our Driver’s Licenses to vote in Texas for years. But your citizenship has already been verified when you got it.
When I registered to vote I had to show proof of residency and my ID. And I thought mail in ballets were for military stationed over seas, those who are on work visa overseas, and elderly who cannot get out.

WhenI registered to vote after we moved from PA I had to have identification to prove who I was. My Birth certificate and my marriage liscence. Also my PA picture drivers liscence. If I vote in person I have to sign and show my picture drivers liscence. To vote by mail I had to register to vote by mail and my signature must match my registration signature. When my husband went to vote once they told him he already voted further upstate. Someone had stolen his identity. He received a provisional ballot and he had to turn in the required documents. It was proven who he was and his vote was counted. There is very little voter fraud in our Country. Trump wants to cut down on people allowed to vote so his party wins the mid terms

I don't know where in the US you don't need ID to vote; but I've worked the polls for at least the last 3 presidential elections in NH, and no one can vote here without one, and they have to provide current residency information also!!
