Actually on a first date no one (man or woman) should have more than 2 alcoholic beverages...one is preferable. You need to have all of your wits about you especially if the person is a complete stranger. It doesn't matter if you have a high tolerance it's just better to be safe than sorry.

I had a first and only date , show up 45 minutes late, and order 4 Grey Goose Cosmopolitans that cost mo than both our entrees. We had reservations and she showed up looking like she was gonna meet the girls for coffee after dropping the kids at school, while I wore a collared shirt & jacket. During her date autopsy she insisted on knowing why I didn't want to see her again after being told it wasn't a good match, so I let it happen and told her why...she didn't take it well.
