I use to put calcium chloride on my sidewalk and driveway before big storm and no snow would stick for hours until it was mostly melted away. Even when I had to shovel the was easily lifted away as the snow didn’t stick to the ground

I have a sloped (sp?) driveway. In winter, I spread a mix of 3parts sand, 1part ice melt. As weather warms, I sweep up the sand & put it in a 5gal bucket. I've been using the same bag of sand for 5yrs. More money for beer!😆

Do you know cat litter does wonders for melting snow and ice? I kept a bag in my trunk all winter to spread just in front of my tires for traction. Now I live in Arizona-no snow here
