Having been a renter for 90% of my adult life, I have never understood the idea of destroying the place I live. Every time I moved the place was in better condition than when I moved in. Every single time, paint, flowers, repairs, a bit of effort, and poof.,.place is better and you have given your landlord a gift.
Man I’d be pissed as well. It takes so long to get squatters out, it’s ridiculous

this is why I sold my house instead of renting it out. I know everyone believes that buying a house and renting it out is the greatest investment venture in the world, but that just means you haven't done it
You Democrat voters feel that you never have to pay rent and that a landlord owes you the world! You are owed and entitled! You get tons of money from taxpayers for all the programs you take advantage of. You are also the MOST UNGRATEFUL people on the planet! You all should be shipped to Samalia or Haiti! I can't tell you how many destroyed apartments I have repaired over the years! In Washington state, it takes a minimum of one year to evict, and yes many Democrat voters there take full advantage of this!
My landlords were so happy with me as a tenant that they made sure I was able to purchase the house because they didn't want to sell it to anyone else. They said they knew I loved the house as much as they did because of the way I took care of it and lowered the price so I could afford it. I was able to buy my townhome with equity already in it!🥰
My husband is retired military and we rented homes through out his 20 years of service. We ALWAYS made sure any home we lived in was treated as ours. Even with two small children, we taught them how to respect other people’s property. We’re even had several landlords that never raised our rent because they appreciated how well we kept their property and they didn’t want us to leave!

My uncle owned about 20 properties and the things that he went through with renters was UNBELIEVABLE!!! What always amazes me is the fact....HOW CAN A PERSON GET ANGRY AT SOMEONE PUTTING THEIR A*%# OUT FOR NOT PAYING RENT!!! 🤔 WTF
Why is it that renters NEVER clean the fridge or stove when they leave and always expect there safety deposit back? Blows my mind every time!
I have rented the same home for 14 years now, my rent has never gone up my landlords are amazing people the agreement we have is if once a year I remodel one room or make improvements to the outside like building a deck or do something major with the landscaping all which the pay for the materials and knock of x-amount off my rent basically pay me hourly for however long it takes me if I make no improvements I just pay the full amount of rent. They said once I'm here for 15 years they will do a land contract with me.
I've had a rental destroyed 3 times in 50 years. lt took ~$35,000 each time to put it back together again. Tan carpets were black. Clean up crews had to wear hasmat suits for the cleanup. Dead rodents had been there so long, they had mummified. The refrigerator was running, but wall to wall mold was on the walls of the refrigerator with spoiled food everywhere.The old saying, they live like pigs... No pigs are much cleaner than some people.
Not only did he get fucked out of rent money. The landlord is responsible to pay the Marshalls in the court fees for the eviction. talk about insult to injury

I feel the same way when i move in a place it's don't never be clean I always have to clean it before i move in and i always clean up when I move out but everywhere i ever had have never ever been cleaned and that's a shame
We had a home we rented and the people hadn't paid rent in 3 months. They wouldn't leave so we moved in along with them and they started screaming and yelling and we said it's our house so we're moving in and so we started moving our stuff in and moved their stuff out to the garage. They called the police and the police said they couldn't do anything about it and so we just kept moving stuff in and then they said they were going to call the police again and the cop said, well go ahead because they're just going to send me out again. After we put all their stuff in the garage they finally left. Disgusting people.
He owns the place and they weren’t paying the rent…..for 12 months and yes you would be really pissed to….he had the right to smash his own door in and did anyone notice how filthy the place was?
I had a landlord do a walk through after he gave everyone in the building a 30 day notice to check on each unit. He was a jerk because he sold the building to a developer who tore everything down to make 32 condos. Why shouldn’t he just return everyone’s deposit and wave goodbye.
That’s a pissed off landlord that’s tired of freeloaders!

I rent a 3Br 1BA fenced house and this is the first time my landlord has ever requested an inspection before a renewal I informed them that I had boxes and totes filled for a garage sale that were neatly stacked but he wasn't happy, he later called and apologized but my feelings were hurt, I'm never late with my rent, haven't hung a single item on the wall, bought a shampooer just to keep carpet in good condition, rake mega leaves and bag them, I'm not filthy I just have a lot of clothes and shoes I thought I'd get rid of, hope my rent doesn't go up...the government is taking too much as it is....💕
If he owns the place, why not open with spare key? Most Landlords do.

Why the hell have we become a country that gives criminals more rights than the law abiding? I swear, for the past 20 years things have progressively turned upside down where those that work for a living and play by the rules are the ones that get the shaft by the very government they have been blindly supporting. Of course, our politicians blatantly lie, cheat, and aggressively steal with impunity nowadays. Morals and integrity aren’t in any of their vocabularies.

why did he wait 12 months? crazy. Landlords: put in your rental agreement, like line 7 that "if this contract needs to be enforced, renter is responsible for all legal fees". Then when you go to court you get rent, filing fees and attorney tacked on - otherwise, you can only get rent.
I always made sure that the places that I have rented were clean. Cleaner than when I rented them

the apt I lived in with 3 of my sorority sisters was in good shape. the landlord did not give anyone in the 3 flat their security deposit back. So the girls in the apt below us threw a rager.

I'm a renter. I have been for 97% of my life. And I can never understand why people leave the property in such a mess. Personally if it was me. I'm going to leave it in the same condition as when it was rented out to me. I want my security deposit back. So,if I have to paint, get the carpet cleaned,etc. I'm going to do it. It's a small price to pay to get a full security deposit back these days!
