I went to school during snow storms in D.C., back in the 70's. We didn't get snow days.

Only door we could open. All the rest of the doors had stormdoors that opened out. Giant snowdrifts against them. Snow shovel in the shed, and you guessed it... it has a stormdoor with a big snowdrift. Now, the snow shovel stays in the utility room.

Native SE Texan here. Just wondering why sidewalks and driveways arent shoveled periodically while its still snowing to keep it from piling up? IF I lived in the North, I'd have the driveway and sidewalks laid with heating elements in them!

Looks like she was snowed in all day… You’re telling me she couldn’t have at least plowed the stoop and the steps out to the driveway for this man coming home?

We had weather reports forecasting up to 11". Next day I measured with a ruler to check that fact out. 😲🥰 Yes We did. Whooooooooop Whooooop !!!!! I'm a Vermont who has lived in Indiana since 1981 & still claim Vermont as My home. I'm in My late 60s and STILL went out & shoveled. 🥰 I have Always Loved shoveling snow. 🥰 Used to shovel the old man's driveway next door as He had 1 whole & 1 that was 2/3s long from a work accident years before. Another year We had 6+ inches. I was suppose to be at work at 8a. Our driveway was looooong. It took Me 2-1/2 Hours to shovel all the way to the end so I could be out. I showered, dressed, & by the time I got to work 3 hours later, My manager was sooooo happy to see Me that She practically ran towards Me & hugged Me & said I was the 1st one to show up for work. What a great winter. 🥰 🥰🥰🥰🥰

As a Medic in '79, I had to walk/wade for approx 1/4 mile in 30" snow to reach a patient in distress. Everything worked out OK. Shortly after my arrival, my partner arrived wcommandeered big hoss of a pick-up!!!

When I was school age I think we may have had 1 or 2 days a year due to snow,Now they have days off for flurries ,BUT they end up having distance learning ,so they have to have class sitting at home watching out the window in their PJ's ,so they don't need to make the days anymore. 🤔🤔♥️♥️

you can try to keep up. plus lots of times snow arrives while you are sleeping.. you try it. sometimes you can keep up.. most times not. or then you start freezing and need to go indoors to dry off and or warm up.

This happens often in Colorado. You have to be prepared. Especially living in the mountains. We had 5 feet of snow a little over a year ago in November. Drifts over 8 feet. Didn’t go anywhere for 2 weeks!
