This is a false dilemma and an apples to oranges fallacy. In general, smokers and alcoholics must show a period of abstinence before being considered for consideration to be placed on transplant waiting lists. Also, the DNA if mothers and their babies are different, ergo, they are different people. The pro-life position is that abortion kills a distinct individual human being.
