5 million should do it. they can't bring his grandfather back to build another one so the amount has to reflect that fact.

The $5,000 fine against the city may not be that unfair. It was the demolition contractor that goofed up by transposing the street number. The contractor should bare the bulk of the liability. They shouldn't have their critical documents reviewed by someone with dyslexia.

the judge needs to take into account not just the money to replace the house but all of the keepsakes and family heirlooms that were also destroyed and dumped in the landfill plus the pain and mental anguish suffered when returning home after serving his country I think five million dollars should cover it and by making the city responsible for it hopefully the next time the city will make sure they have the right address Since city employees are so dumb the idiots they were going around and tearing down abandoned houses not one of the idiots looked at the house and noticed that it wasn't abandoned it was a well kept property but the guy in charge with his fifth grade education just started the wrecking ball Maybe next time check twice wreck once

Thanks Your Honor! That is justice! Negligent morons! The soldier can rebuild a house, but it will never be the same as the one his grandfather built, and obviously he had pride in it!

I don't even know how that man would feel good coming into court and and saying something as stupid as that he should have been embarrassed. They have just lost their mind if they thought that guy or anyone would accept 5,000 dollars for a house you demolished. I'm glad the Judge had an heart and sense. Lord Bless this soldier 🙏 🙌
