My son was packing to go back home after the holidays. He asked if I could help him get his suitcase closed because stuff was coming out everywhere. I rolled all of his clothes, fit his personals, shoes, and a few gifts here and there. Voila, zipped without struggle and even room for a little more. Saves soooooooo much space. I do it at home too.

The US Army has been doing a variation of this packing technique, for decades, to pack duffel bags.

This is how I packed my son's luggage when he went on his first trip to Europe for 12 days, when he was 14 years old on a school trip. It was such a lifesaver.💕

Great for anyone but if you are sending a child for a visit or to camp each day's outfit is ready to go. I always roll clothes in my suitcase but I want to do this next time I travel.
I did this 36 years ago for my son when he went to camp and put the date Monday- Friday. Also went on vacation and pack for the 2 of us on vacation2 suitcase done.
