She has excellent posture while she runs. She makes it look so easy, never missing a step, head shoulder and feet perfectly straight. Faster and faster she goes, and never looks like she is out of breath nor tired . She is elegant and strong.

“Pelvic tilt changes everything in how we move.” Most people don’t realize this, but men and women don’t generate running force the same way. Women, on average, have a wider pelvis. That shifts the hips and brings the legs closer to the centerline. So when women run, their feet tend to land more in line, one foot almost crossing over the other. That reduces side-to-side torque and keeps the force moving straight forward. Men, on average, have a narrower pelvis. Their feet land a little wider. Each step pushes off side to side first, creating lateral torque, then that force gets redirected forward. More rotation. More outward drive. So it’s not about who’s “better.” It’s about where the force goes. Women conserve energy by minimizing lateral torque. Men generate power through wider torque and rotation. Same goal—forward motion. Different mechanics. And once you see it… you can’t unsee it.
