Men can sign away their parental rights and then is no longer responsible for child support. Men have been opting out of fatherhood. No parental rights = no child support

men absolutely can do that. and in all fairness they absolutely should be able to do it as long as we allow abortion father should be able to opt out a parenting too it is only fair. they sign over their parental rights you cannot go after them but they also can claim no right to that child happened to my niece and her son. he is now a 20-year-old up standing citizen and a journeymen and I'm very proud of him but his dad has not been involved in his life not whatsoever saw him the day he was born signed over his rights that same week. in my opinion she was better off without him.

I've never asked either father to play a part or buy anything. They are my kids, my decision, my responsibility. The second one was nice enough to volunteer to pay child support and every so often some emergency milk or diapers.
