Looks like those channels are large enough for conduit. Circles possible junction boxes.

putting electricity in a building that did not have it. Walls of pre-electricity homes are often cut this way for wiring.

it's not just blocks, you can see it move when he puts the sander on it

It's some kind of glorified router blade. Setting up chasers for electrical wires.

I'm not exactly going along with you guys on this, normally I am for or against. Here it's iffy, iffy, for starters I've not seen styrofoam imprinted as though it were block, but where's the dust. Even styrofoam is going to have floating debris. I've cut a lot of block, But never as quickly as this. It may be a new type of material that is being offered to the industry that just doesn't create a lot of dust being a huge risk and dangerous health conditions if not some how contained by either suction or applying water at point of areas being demoed.🤔😷 osha

On the downward stroke at the end there is no debris coming from the machine and you can see that it is just a line being drawn or painted to the other circle. This leads me to believe something fake is going on here.

AI, it would be making so much more dust, and there would also be sparks

They’re not concrete. I can’t remember what it’s called but it looks like the same material used for the inner walls of a house I used to own in the Netherlands. I could literally saw through that with a drywall saw. So this seems legit although it might be slightly sped up but not that much. To put in electrical wiring inside a wall. Where the circles are, is probably where the junction are going to be.

In retrospect, notice the second circle on the left. After he cut through it, the line still remained. Hmmm 🤔

Those blocks aren’t well installed. They didn’t put enough cement in between the gaps, they look dry.🙏🏼

there are several different methods for this kind of block. A lot of it is low density. they are cutting in electrical lines that get mortared back into the wall. up high is for a light fixture, mid- height is for a switch, and off the floor is for the outlets. it is fine to cut through like this as it is not the structural integrity of the building that is compromised. also, the slots are mortared back in before the final wall coat even goes on.
