She was contending it, trying to stop it from spreading which is smart. But, if you never been around spills or hazardous waste you are ignorant, especially if you don't care and is lazy. they use cat litter a certain type in mechanic shops and it works great I think it's a clay based litter it gets it all up and leaves nothing behind its oil dry or speed dry something like that it also gets up coolest and other stuff ...they should have it in resturaunts as well

There's nothing dangerous about pouring salt on cooking oil. Even if it's boiling. So the only thing I can think of that landed someone in the hospital is that someone slipped an hurt themselves.
