I'm 62, moved out at 17. moved 3000 miles cross country....got a delivery the other day, box full of quilts. Dad was watching the weather channel and saw the big freeze coming to Alabama....wanted to make sure I stayed warm if we lost power(I have propane). Now that's a parent🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

No way, 33? I left home at 19, I'm 57 for a few more days, and I never moved back. My parents charged rent when I turned 18, that was my birthday present. 6 months left till I graduated. I could no longer wash my clothes at home and had to buy necessary products to wash and dry my clothes. My mamaw would go with me to the laundromat so I didnt have to go alone. BTW, I was a straight A student. My brothers on the other hand were coddled. Both had girls pregnant in high school and they stayed at home with our parents; with girlfriends and babies.

Definitely my mom. I’m 46 years old, and whenever she visits, we already know she’s coming packed. She always brings random things she noticed I was low on during her last visit. One time I told her she didn’t need to bring anything except her own things, and she looked heartbroken. She said, “Please don’t ask me to stop being the mother I choose to be. One day I won’t be able to do this, or I won’t be here. But until then, let me be your mom.” My heart melted. As a mother myself, I understood instantly, and I felt awful for even saying anything. My siblings never really understood her, so I had to explain: Mom is Mom. You accept her gifts without judgment. I know they just didn’t want her spending money, but I told them they could always regift or donate anything they didn’t need. Just don’t deny her—this is her love language. Our love language is unique to each of us. I give my time, cook their favorite meals, send them home with leftovers, but I don’t buy things for kids .

🥺What a shame! You should be taking stuff to your parents! They already did their job!🫣

My Mom did this for us. Though she kept huge bags on hand and tossed stuff in she knew we would need over time! As my Mom aged we did the same for her! She was the Bestest Mom♥️

What do you mean, does she need anything else. You need to go look in your house, she took the laundry detergent , toilet paper even the cat food. Take your grocery list out of the garbage can and go buy everything again, because you have nothing left. 😱😳
