I teach HS at an alternative school and none of my students would give up their seat. Very few of them have any manners

BS! if the guy didn't see her doesn't make him a bad person, try asking him instead of being a bully about it! I used to Bart from S.F. & would give my seat up at least 2 or 3 days a week😆👍

Yes a skit, but it shows how you should show respect first to your elders. Also, to be a gentleman is always appropriate. These are things that should be taught to you as a child by your parents and shown in the media as always the thing to do. It would never hurt, and absolutely, it would make you an example to others what is appropriate. This was instilled into me by my parents and older siblings. It is always ok to be polite and thoughtful. It costs nothing, and the return is immeasurable. So please make sure your children and siblings model this excellent behavior.

Women are just as capable of giving up their seats for women so why do we expect only men to do it?

It didn’t need to be just the male to give her his seat. Anyone younger should have had the decency to do that. Parents and teachers should teach common courtesy. It won’t harm the kids at all.
