Eating catfish is a great southern tradition. The catfish are bottom feeders.... they ear poop from other fish. My x-inlaws would have big cat fish fries... and eat the meat of the catfish that was nourished on fish poop. In the north we didn't cat catfish bc of this.😲😆

I thought it was illegal to use cord because the fish eat it and then it swells up inside the bed kills them. I don’t know just what I heard.

Still doesn’t show how he fishes after pouring all that corn into the water. Is there supposed to be a part 2, where he actually catches a fish??? Waste of time watching nothing.

I don't know about this particular type of activity personally but while stationed abroad I saw many times over the use of hand grenades for fishing while in several local villages!!!

Growing up in Mississippi, we are attracted catfish by using spoiled cheese that stuff so bad when I look at a video I can still smell it. We put it inside of a net of fish swimming, but they could not swim out.

qI think it attracts the fish to that spot if you just throw food around then the fish are scattered if you have all the food in one spot then all the fish are there too! Hello everyone! Common. sense would of kicked in by now! I guess my IQ REALLLY is 135 ! Guess I'm the only one smart enough to realize that ! jk

As a youth we could get, OATS, corn and other. grains in burlap bags, , we just placed them in certain pond or river bottoms. The grains ferment and dissolve after a bit, we placed sacks in winter, and fish would pluck at sack or feed ontiy driftingpieces.

He wasn’t feeding the fish. It probably bloated the fish after it swelled and they floated to the surface…so I could see why Texas Parks and Wildlife might object…

I've heard that it will bring in the carp , and as they stir up the bottom for the corn , they will clear out all the weeds .
