maybe you could just stick the flywheel in the freezer overnight drop the ring on in the morning tab weld it like they do and let it go
I put the fly wheel in the freezer overnight. the ring fit nice.
I used asimilar method without the water. Just heated up the ring gear and it dropped right onto my flywheel.
