If I'm worried about someone stealing from me, you know what I do???? I don't invite them over!!!! Could care less if someone goes through my cabinets. Don't trust them don't allow them into your home!!!
I used to put a string in my back door to see if and when my landlord was sneaking into my apartment. Multiple times I would come home to find the string on the ground. Eventually I took him to court - and won.
Lately, whenever we have our daughters and granddaughter over for a visit....NY to Fla., we find things missing. The last time was for thousands, when I was home, on IV therapy, from the hospital. After all was said and done, we realized that over TWO THOUSAND dollars of antique firearms had been stolen! Police reports made, but no charges filed, as we did know exactly who did it. They have all been told, never to come back, again. Will will be changed, too. I wish I knew how to install the many cameras I have, as Google changed everything. We are in our 80s, and are "locked and loaded", just in case.

I used to have a lot of parties and I didn't always know everyone as friends invited others. It was party central. My dad taught me an old navy trick. To know who looks in your medicine cabinet, open it up, enough it and press cardboard against the inside. pull back the top and put in marbles. Turns out it was someone I trusted not to go snooping. No one left her alone in their homes again.
I thought the cut plate was for portion control at the dinner table. 😆 I can't believe I wasted 2 seconds of my day watching this and now another 4 seconds commenting on this video. I need a Hobby 🤔

If you are paranoid and need to know if someone opens your cabinets.The other half of the plate will fall out and they won't be able to place it back the same way, unless you leave the plates. and scissors nearby. 🙄
