A semi can’t stop all of the sudden. It takes a few seconds to make a full stop so you are at fault for cutting off a big truck

Legally the truck is wrong because anytime the front of your vehicle makes contact with the back of someone else's vehicle you are in the wrong. The truck driver was driving too fast for the conditions, and as a retired truck driver I know that as professional drivers we are supposed to watch the big picture and adjust our speed for those conditions.We are taught to drive with our attention 5 seconds down the road and this driver obviously was not!

The traffic light was red, wet not ice road conditions, the car cut off the truck without propper distance and road conditions. Could the truck have stopped before reaching the intersection? I believe so.
the White car, because the truck can't stop on a dime like a car can. Depending on what a trucker is hauling, if they slam on the brakes their whole 80,000# load can shift. I was a shipping clerk at a steel mill and one of our drivers driving a flat bed full of I-beams had to stop quickly due to an old lady pulling a stupid stunt like this .. the load shifted forward through the cab of the day truck he was driving and killed him. So definitely the white car for being STUPID!

I've heard the bs about you hit someone from the back then your likely at fault , but if you look at this clip it clearly shows that the car had entered the lane that the accident happened in illegally as it didnt utilize its turn signals indicating that it was pending a lane shift therefore how was the truck to know car was about to randomly jump directly in front of him like such? I understand we are to be alert to the flow of traffic and all that type stuff but when a individual isn't following traffic regulations set forth to keep people safe then they should be held accountable
