what was the reducing agent (white powder) that was used to smell the ore? by the way folks.. gold, in and of itself is not magnetic that's correct... but the ore that it was trapped inside of (pre smelting) very likely was. my question is what was that powder, and why was it used? was it a catalyst?? was it a binder? anybody know?? probably not.. comment section on this app is full of.... those people

It’s silly. Metal is in all dirt. Just run a magnet through any dirt and it will get picked up so there is no need for special equipment like this or the need to remove a large rock (I could do it with a pick axe!).
