Full service still exists. Sorry to ruin this, whatever it is.
I worked the gas pumps at Rogers Chevron in the late 60s. Pumped a lot of gas. Cleaned thousands of windshields. Sold thousands of quarts of oil. Checked too many tires. But we had a great time doing it.
13¢ a gallon. They pumped it for me, checked the oil, and cleaned the windshield.
Attendants who clean your windows, oil bottles, leaded fuel, road maps, replacement windshield wipers, mechanics, free air pumps, 10 cent soda machines. And a friendly face that owns the place and cares about your service.
you can trust your car to the man who wears the ⭐
a person to check your oil a person to check pressure and clean your windshield
what about green stamps and the rubber hose used to run over and it would ding inside the building
gas station attendant . The one who came out and pumped check oil clean windows che air psi . We need to bring that back ALSO .
High test leaded gasoline. Like Sunoco 94 octane. That wouldn't make a high compression engine ping. Wing windows (those were the little triangle crank out one, independent of the main ones) that could be turned to force/direct air into the cab. Metal dash you could stick magnets on, like a refrigerator. Removable fender skirts. Full size spare tire and a bumper jack was factory equipment not a little BS Donut. Manual transmission was standard (hence 'Standard Transmission'), automatic was an opinion you paid extra for. Air conditioning was a opinion. Now try to buy a new vehicle without air. Those are just a few examples. Don't have time for all of them.
