In Norway and other Nordic countries, it's common for parents to let their sleeping babies remain outside, even when they go to a café. It's perfectly normal there due to strong social trust and communal norms, urban design that prioritizes pedestrian safety and cultural belief (backed by pediatric guidance there) that fresh, cool air supports better sleep.

It's Norway ppl, get a grip. Yes, they actually do leave the babies outside to nap in cribs, all over! These are Viking descendants! Everyone watches out for everyone. Imagine That 🤯😱

When my son was 18 months old he got so sick, the doctor told me to open his windows 4 inches put many covers on him, and Vicks on his chest and he would be fine. Now 40 years later he sleeps like that all the time.

It's good to sleep in cold air in your bedroom. Been doing it for years. Gotta stay away from people sneezing that don't cover up and wash hands a lot.🤔🤔🤔

Correct, the cold facilitates illness by lowering your body's barriers. It acts as a catalyst rather than the cause. so cold weather plays a part in getting you sick.

I am seriously more concerned about animals getting at the baby. Or other humans tbh. Are they trying to tell us that there is some zero chance of a pedo lurker in town?

ask your grandparents about this..it was normal to bundle babies in cold weather & put on porch to nap, in a covered buggy of course. This was done with me, my sister, cousins, etc. I did this with my boys & grandson. Healthy kids, fresh air, nice long naps. Oh, & everyone slept great at night.

I love how Americans with no culture love to tell other cultures what they're doing wrong. 😆 Norway is one of the safest countries in the world. Their prisons don't even have bars because escapes are that rare.

If people would just get a couple fried eggs over easy, milk ,gravy biscuits, bacon, hash browns and some sausage and eat the stuff maybe just maybe for dessert a biscuits and honey over cow butter and shut the hell up and listen...no one's farting.

One of the reason US health care is so expensive is we go in to see a doctor for a slight case of sniffles, wanting medicine to make us better

only in America are we afraid of fresh air especially for our children and that is why we have so much sickness. As long as I'm alive I'm outside as much as possible

I don’t see a baby in that thing. If it’s below freezing temps outside the baby could die of hypothermia

Leave a kid outside in the cold or heat here in the USA and you would be sleeping in a jail cell.

Yeah common with decent weather. That's child abuse. And I am from Europe, I have pictures of my sister, myself, in baby carriages with covers.

I have a hard time believing that they think it is Ok to leave a baby outside in a blizzard. Maybe in warmer weather, but not in the condition in the video. That is abusive.

so if it is so wonderful foe the child to stay out there why are the parents not sitting out in the same weather? just a honest question no hate.

My son had a friend who's family was so sure weather made them sick. One day he asked me why my son never gets sick, I told him that he is constantly exposed to weather and stuff. He finally letting his kids out and they quit getting sick

If it's not safe for animals to stay out in the cold, it's not safe for babies.

It's frigid in Illinois in the winter. Back in the day (1950's) baby care books from the hospitals said infants needed to sleep under an open window - no matter the weather. Baby Boomers were/are healthier than people born 50 years later.

surely not in a blizzard? I could 'tolerate' the idea of outside in winter in your culture, but not in that blowing cold snow nope. that's time to call CPS and COPS.

my grandma used to bath her babies and dry and wrap them up. Then she would put them in the buggy for them to nap on the front porch in all weather. She had 11 babies and my dad was the oldest.

His buddy hit him up with "Hey, pal. How's the weather, there?" but he was eating. He shot this video, sent it to his bud without a text, and went back to dinner, hahahahaha. That's how it looks in my head.
