Never think you are any less valuable to our country's safety than what the other armed services are. Thank you for your service and dedication to our country. Be well and come home safely. β™₯οΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡² πŸ‘πŸ‘

The nice thing about that boat I believe that’s the self writing one meaning if it flips over, it will keep flipping over until it’s up right again we have several different models that do that, but the Coast Guard is definitely one of the most dangerous branches in our military!

If you watch the men on board, they don’t get thrown around by the violent waves. That’s because each one is strapped in place. That’s the upgraded MLB from the 44’ MLB the Coast Guard had 40 years ago. These boats can literally turn upside down and reright themselves. If the guys are not strapped in they are swimming in the blink of an eye. The only bad thing that can happen is and does happen on occasion, is the seat that the operator sits in, breaks off. The operator is strapped in and sinks from the weight of the seat and frame. Each crew member has a knife to cut the straps in that case.

The vessel is made of indestructible material. The crew are made of hard core Americans on a mission to save lives and protect our homeland. Incredible training to withstand the power of nature CGLTW RLTW

How did they do that? That wave brought the whole ship almost vertical up and down, just bounced over that swell. Pretty impressive.

Actually, I watched the Coast Guard do those maneuvers here in Oregon. They’re good at what they do and I was always glad they were out there.

As a former Coast Guard Surfman #119, my time was on 44’s and 30 SRB. I loved the mental rush I felt operating in 25-30 foot seas

Ever been fishing in the Bering Sea? I respect those guys for what they do. The Sea can be quite unforgiving.

I'm sure some Coast Guard jobs are good, but the last guy I knew that joined them spent years scrubbing buoys in the Gulf of Maine. He absolutely hated it.
