This happened to my mother, the male nurse who did it also tore the skin off her arm. I had a person who worked there call me and told me everything. I made it there faster than ever before, I started from the front door to the back tearing the place up, they called the police on me but it was worth it. I had that nursing home shut down!!
It might be a skit ,but this happens in homes,N.homes, even hospitals because I had a personal experience. Iam a nurse my self,as I got off duty I went to check on my mom who had her legs amputated on a specialized unit in my hospital,but privately owned! As Iam walking in the room I hear my mom's nurse fussing at her and see my mom's face she's leaning away from him scared. He was telling her that she needed to get her shit together that he wasn't going to be running interested every 5 minutes like yesterday etc.and then said you understand ME!! Well I came on in the room and raised HELL how he was talking to my mom, told him to leave before I threw him out myself!! Him knowing me from the hospital and worked together some he knew I'd do it . So had to call charge nurse in,made written formal complaint and made them change nurse's. Then slept on the couch in her room to make sure them did it!!! I don't care where your people are you have to check on them 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲

I think this person should be put in jail for elder abuse. turn the video over to the police and press charges. also call the agency and show them the video. she will loose her license and get fired. this is honestly sad.

My cousin’s grandmother was being abused in a local nursing home. They put up a nanny cam and it caught two CNA’s shoving her down on the bed and hitting her. Both were fired and were charged with elder abuse!!!

I was in the nursing field for 25 years and in my earlier years, I saw a lot of abuse before I transferred to a hospital to work on the medical floor. Trust me it does happen. I witnessed one horrible abuse. The GNA was giving her patient a snickers bar and stuffed it down her throat! After that she and another GNA literally picked her up in the tub room and threw her in the tub full of cold water! I was hidden in that bath room and I knew something was going to happen, thus I staked out the room! I wish I had a camera! I went to the DON of the NH and told her. She told me that had to be a lie! I said, ok, if you do not believe me then I will be back in a minute because I am going to talk to the Administrator and then I am calling the police! I did do that exactly. The Administrator said as soon as the police get there let me know. I did and they hand cuffed her and her friend, as well as 2 others that I had no clue what they did. Apparently they stoled a $2,000. Ring! 2 went to jail!

arrest her for elder abuse and make sure she gets a CORI and lose her license and banned from working with the public. I did that to a person who lost her job, her kids, has a CORI and banned from working with ppl in all 50 states. There are severe consequences for her actions and if this is on tape it can be used in the courts

Nursing homes r gonna start locking their doors to the public so that they can have their way w/ the patients/ residents ! All staff hate their jobs & do they abuse,ignore,neglect & intimidate( w/ discharging),etc. Somthng has to replace these places !
This is a skit, but a real issue when you place your loved ones under the care of others-- in home or nursing facilities. But real question, how should the staff person handle the client that is violent, mean, or derogatory? Some people are just nasty...even when they are old.

I caught an Aide using my mother's curling iron, hiding it, and walked out of her room with it. I told her I would have bought her one, but she stole my mother's. She my mother let's her use it. Really? My mother told me to let her have it. She was afraid. I told the Aide not to even look at my mother the wrong way, or I would beat her. I said I grew up on the streets of Hartford, Ct, had many fights. I reported her and she was fired the next day.
Her daughter was professional about this. Me myself, personally that caretaker would be getting up off the floor while I am calling the police. She also needs to fine herself another because this is clearly not her field of employment. 🤔

I have to rethink this. first of all as other comments make sure that the agency has an impeccable record. Sit down and talk to mom and ask her about the aid. tell her it's Allright to say what ever is going on. have the aid prosecuted for what she saw. I feel so sorry for people who have these problems. My husband is going to be 79 and me...I'll be 76. As of now when one of us gets down Thank God the other is up. But...if that can't happen and we are both at home we can still watch out for each other. But it's something we all have to think about and start making preparations😆for.🙏 She still should be fired and locked up.

If this is real or not this is something to learn from because these things do happen with care givers taking care of your loved ones at home and in Nursing homes. My advice is to install cameras to protect your loved ones. And if this was my mother that woman would’ve been in the hospital.

This may be a skit but I had a best friend who went into a nursing home after having a bad stroke. She was affected all down the right side of her body. Every time she was brought her food they would roll it into her room and leave it on the side she was affected by her stroke. I started off explaining to them to please try to remember to put it on the side she could use. Every time I checked on her they never placed her tray on the side she could function. I had to get ugly. "I asked her, do you not understand English? I had one roll her eyes at me. I told her she might think she was getting away with what she was doing. I told her she was in for a rude awakening! I told her everyone has someone they love. You will reap what you are sewing. She may catch someone mistreating a loved one of hers or her self. I told her one day you can bet you will think about this very conversation. I turned her in to her supervisor, they handled the situation.
