There was nothing wrong with what the nanny did, everybody's got they're panties bunched up in they're ass's. She didn't even hit the child, but if the parents got a problem with the nanny, come get your damn kid and raise him yourself. But in my day we would've got our ass's tore up by being disrespectful.

Both of my kids are in their 40’s and I’m very proud of how they have grown up to be. I spent the first 5 years teaching them right from wrong and the earlier the better before they got a mind of their own and I didn’t do more then spank their hands or their diapered bottom so I got their attention so I could explain what they did wrong and make sure they understood. The most important part of teaching your children is to be consistent with every yes and every no . Being a parent isnt about what’s convenient for yourself it’s about teaching your children what is except able what’s not acceptable period and showing respect to others. As you build their self esteem and worth.
If you trust me enough to watch them, you can trust me enough to discipline them.

I think there are much better ways to handle a situation without spanking. it never entered my mind I would need to spank my child or grandchild before they even did something that some would think qualified a spank , it sounds so messed up ! I have taken care of children since I was 12 years old. I have one adult child and 2 grandchildren. My adult child when she was growing up got a smack on the butt when she needed it. My grandchildren when I was taking care of them while both parents worked either got a smack on the butt or time out. Never when I was taking care of someone else child did I smack them. I was born in the 50's so I am old school.
