Went out to eat last week, was a weird Asian themed restaurant, they added 18% tip to the bill, that’s all they got from me. I will not add to a required tip. Never.
If I'm not sitting down at a table and someone is taking my order,delivering my food to my table and then cleaning my table I'm not tipping!! I will not tip for to go or In a drive thru,or at the register for a to go order that I am picking up unless is a very large or is a special order. I don't do delivery of food because of the fees added as well as the tip on top. I have seen many other people get their orders already eaten or messed with in some way. 90% of the time I take my own food or go somewhere that has table service.

theres a burger joint in my town where you go to the counter to order and tell them your booth number - then you sit down and a robot brings your food and a waitress puts it on the table - periodically thru the meal she will check on us, refill sodas - first time we went we tipped the waitress and her eyes lit up

If I’m not sitting down being served, I’m not tipping. That’s my policy, it’s not my job to pay your company’s employees, they should be doing that on their own. Americas tipping culture is out of hand. We should learn something from Europe.
