Don’t ask don’t tell has been the code of conduct forever.. NOTHING should be based on fetishes or sexual orientation in the military or otherwise.. .enjoy your leave time to do whatever you want but keep it out of our military.. keep it away from our children too .. that administration and its mentally ill DEI hires destroyed a generation of children
Also, as transgenders, they can never be effective in the military mainly because they must take daily Rx's to maintain their preferred gender. You cannot be on active duty if you must take daily prescribed medications. Even military personnel who are not in this particular situation but must take daily prescribed medications are no longer fit for active duty status. If someone has surgery, such as a hernia repair, they are not on active duty until cleared by medical. But, for instance, they now need BP meds, or insulin, or even a daily pill for diabetes, such as Metformin, they are considered unfit for duty and given an honorable discharge.

the only people who should be polled are those in the military who have served alongside of somebody they knew be transgender. why is a man on the street who probably never served at all given any credence for his opinion. these are the exact same opinions I remember hearing when the question was 'do you believe that a black man should be serving in the military alongside of whites?'

I agree, non should be allowed, 2 years working for our Government somewhere.
No person who is either physically or mentally unfit for duty in any capacity should be allowed in the military. It for darn good reason that they require fit for duty personnel. Transgender people are not bad and should not be treated bad, however they fit right in with any other people who are disqualified for mental health issues or physical health issues.
With all the concern about illegal orders these days I question a person not knowing what sex they are how would they be able to follow any order. When I went in in 1969 60 guys hit the showers at the same time of course I don’t know if times have changed or not

i get both sides of the argument here. if there are other rolls in the military that they could fulfill then why not? we have falling enrollment year after year and if trans people want to defend our country in some way or form then i also dont see any harm in that.
