Thank you Tyler Perry for that movie, that was something I did not know. I don't know why we as Black people don't get the recognition we deserved. My father did not have an education at all growing up in Virginia on the farm. He was able to work on a Construction site and did the foundation on houses when the other white Foremen could not (they never gave him the title nor the pay he deserved). He also was a Mechanic and could look under the hood of your car and tell what was wrong with it. All this coming from a man who did not make it out of elementary school. So stop judging us on the color of our skin. This country was build on the backs of our people, they just never recognized us. We will always stand TALL and PROUD.

Respectfully, Mr. Perry is not the first to document or present the historic story of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion. In 1997, I released my second documentary on the 6888, along with a companion book, and authored a screenplay for film and television centered on the women of this historic unit. Over the ensuing decades, I have continued to expand and refine this body of work through additional interviews, extensive archival research, photographs and substantive revisions, culminating in the titled "Sweet Georgia Brown." My work on the 6888 spans decades, is thoroughly documented, and establishes clear historical and creative precedence.
