A town I lived in used to flood down in shopping area 3-4+ ft. There were at least 2 times I know of that young boys were sucked into storm drains & bodies were recovered coming out at the river, the end of the pipe. Approx 2 mi away. 😥

when I was a kid we went and visited my dad's family in Utah and we literally rode the irrigation ditch from the top of the hill all the way to the bottom it was so much damn fun you know what's wrong with kids nowadays their parents having terrified they're going to get hurt

I actually did something similar one time. Me and the wife were on Crooked Creek fishing. And I slipped and fell in the creek. It was the point of no return. I went through the concrete tube. I kept my fishing pole in my hand the whole time. My wife thought I was playing a trick on her. Truth was, I was praying to God while going through the tube. 😲

Yeah I am a waterman and I am comfortable with big waves, rocky shorelines high speeds and rip currents. But the chance I would take with getting snagged in the middle and drowning is 0
