I loved the old drug stores. Mom would go to the bank on a Saturday morning, next door to the drug store, give us each a quarter for a comic book and a chocolate syrup fountain coke. 💕
Paterson had a Woolworths also samething you sat in booth or at counter on a stool., and ordered your drink and food. Also they had the orange soda that they mixed with something and it taste like those ice cream pops with orange on the outside and white in the middle. I forgotten what they called them. it was something like an Orange cream drink. Those were so good. Thinking about that and also they had best root beer floats. Got my mouth watering, want one right now. I think they were called Orange cream nickel.
Vacation time when school is out the end of May...tell the location...road trip...long past due for so many of us...and let that restaurant have the best sales year ever...if they get overwhelmed...close for the day...🙃

Woolworth store in Northern Lights had a soda fountain and the counter had stools that would allow you to spin around and look 👀 at people while you were eating.

I remember when they had those old fashioned fountain drink when I was growing up in my teenage years. I remember the colored stirrs they remind me of a straw 🧃 to drink and they were so cool back then. I wish they would bring back those old fashioned fountain drink stations. They were totally awesome and great and having a good fresh hamburger 🍔 french fries 🍟 and a old fashioned fountain drink 🥤🧊🥤. Those were the good old days and fun times growing up in my teenage years.
Love places that do that also have old fashioned music playing from the 50's and the 60's. It makes you feel like yourself back in time.

nothing like a soda made with syrup from.a pump at the counter and soda water. Stir it up and enjoy. you could also get vanila coke or cherry coke. could get an ammonia coke for a headache.
When things were fresh, homemade & done right in front of you. Better meat & vegetables fed the right foods that give a natural taste ours don't have today. Species chosen because of their great taste, instead of something more convenient & profitable for corporate farms.

In the 1970’s & early 1980’s in Noblesville, Indiana, they used to have a a place called, “The Corner Drugstore” in their downtown that had a soda fountain. I used to sit at the counter & watch them make my cherry cokes & root beer floats from scratch, just like that! I really miss it! They used to, also, sell pork tenderloin patties bugger than an adults head! You could LITERALLY make six separate sandwiches outta one dammed tenderloin!! Best place in all of Indiana, imo! Plus, you could always swing by “Perkin’s Family Restaurant” & enjoy some of their awesome pancakes, back then, or drop on by “Beanies Cafeteria”! 1970’s & 1980’s were THE GREATEST in Noblesville, Indiana! Even the blizzard of 78’ was awesome - but only if you were a kid!!! I was!!

My dad remembers this. he would tell us about it a lot when we were little and he would get a vanilla coke 😊 when I was a teenager they came out with it in the cans/bottles!! he said it was good but not quite the same lol
