I’m an arborist this happens when you have a limb in the tree that has hollowed out and so has the tree to a point. It’s pretty common

Well now do you think it could be some water in that rotten tree or is it some alien substance for breeding little aliens hid there in that special mysterious tree. Whatever could that be running from that particular tree?

When oaks start die they start to decay from the bottom center and the decay works its way up. Water will collect in the cavity through openings trunk. I have seen a few times.

Looks like this tree was hallow and retaining rain water. Safer to remove than to leave it to rotting from the inside.

little low for maple syrup... I don't think maples have that texture on their base. maple syrup does come out that done and then you have to culture it by boiling it refining it. it almost looks like an old elm to me---in our area we hardly have any elms left. all caught elm disease between World War 1 and the Korean War.
