Docking tails, docking ears, declawing are terrible practices that need to stop. Breed standards need to change so poor innocent puppies and kittens are brutalized and traumatized by outdated rules.
I’ve had 14 Rottweilers one with a tail he came from Europe. He got his leg blown off in Syria with an ID. The tail on that dog was to let you know when he was scared alert or happy, but it knocks over drinks beats the wall and he got happy tail. We’re at home because he sprained it. Rottweilers were cattle dogs if a cow stepped on their tail and broke it they couldn’t workthey pulled carts. The tail would get stuck in the rigging. They cut their tails off for a reason, they were kettle dogs drove her dog the butchers dog world war one saved them. They use them in the trenches to pull the machine guns.
No tail docking. No ear cropping. No declawing.

I never understood why anyone wanted to dock the tails or ears of certain breeds . It is cruel and unnecessary. It is only because they think it "looks" better? Did you ask the dog? Bet he'd say "leave my tail and ears alone!".

I Luv Rottweilers and Your Furbaby is absolutely, beautiful 🤩🥰🥰🥰🤩 Please, be very careful letting dogs or puppies chew on Rawhide because, as they chew on them because, the pieces become very wet and slick and a piece of it can suddenly, slide down their throat and can very easily get choked or stuck in their throat!!!! We had a little Yorkie, that got a piece stuck in her throat for days before we knew, what was wrong with her because she kept coughing and gagging before we finally, got it out of her throat! I know, they love doggie treats but, we don’t give our little furbaby any treats that are hard now because of them getting a piece of the treat lodged in their throat and our little Maltese, got a piece of a Beggin’ Bacon Strip, stuck on the side of her throat as well, so now, we give her only soft treats, and let her kibbles do the work, to help keep her teeth clean!

If a dog's tail is docked it should be done when it is 3-5 days old. No pain. At this age it is very painful.

The only reason people mutilate animals is for there own convenience! There is no benefit to the animal, in fact in most situations it's detrimental! Case in point, having your kitten declawed. If something happens to you and he's turned out by family, or he accidentally gets out during a get together, he wouldn't (couldn't) survive. Cats have claws and dogs have ears and tails for a reason. It's not our place to change them!
