some people are reading this wrong...it says "she cooked for 2 days"....doesn't mean she was cooking for 48 hours...it means she cooked for a meal today and a meal tomorrow. He's coming eating to food for tomorrow. She provided a side dish( he hasn't eaten), and could fill up on that. If you don't understand meal planning on a budget, just say so. Most Americans could benefit from skipping the " seconds "...instead of taking Ozempic!
I don't know about seconds, he appears to be hungry.. í cook for my husband evèry night. Sometimes he wakes me up at 3 o'clock wanting bacon or biscuits and gravy, grilled cheese and I honestly fix it for him, even when he was in the hospital I took him liver and onions with gravy, mashed potatoes and cottage cheese and peaches because he wouldn't eat the hospital food after a major bleed out. The Dr thanked me. if he'll eat it, I'll cook it! I did it working 12 hour shifts I've been with him 57 years.,Maybe that's why !!

It would seem the overall mentality here is that women should be subservient to men. Why should she have to wait to eat until he's had his fill ? She's the one who spent the time and skill preparing the meal, but she should wait for whatever scraps he decides to leave her ? After which, she will then, most likely, have the pleasure of scraping his plate and washing his dirty dishes ! Her "man" acts like a Neanderthal, completely oblivious that she's deserving of a relaxing meal, at least as much as himself ! We no longer live in the 1950's where the Mr. goes off to work while Donna Reed wears her pearls and heels while dusting ! Most women work their fanny's off and deserve respect for all that they do every single day ! Love your man, yes, but love yourself first ! If you don't respect your worth, he won't either !

Yes, sometimes I cook hoping it will service meal plan fir two or more days...that's when they are the hungriest...in case of the meat cubes...take what's left, "deglaze" the pan...add additional broth cubed potatoes carrots...soup with a crust bread will be tomorrow's offering...love your family and move on down the road...otherwise you have heartburn, and they have a full belly...
